Big Blue Cuddle Hour
Our aim is not only to provide you with original and colourful children's clothes but also to support children's charities financially and by promoting their work to the public. That's why we have decided to host #BigBlueCuddleHour and find fun ways to bring our mission to life on Twitter as well.
For one year #BigBlueCuddleHour has been about people voting for the children charity they thought should win a Big Blue Cuddle voucher which the charity could use as a prize for fundraising. Now we want to change things a little.
Once a month, on the Tuesday from 1 to 2pm, we initiate a discussion about a topic we care about and give away a "30% OFF voucher" to the most active participant. This is how it works:
When: the Tuesday closest to the 15th of the month, to tie in with #Charitytuesday, from 1 to 2pm
What : We'll choose a topic that is relevant to parents but also to charities, so that they can use this opportunity to talk about their work.
We'll seek to hear the point of view of parents, the public, experts and the charities around the chosen topic.
Winner: At 2pm we establish which partipant has been most active and award him/her the prize.
The prize, which we email to the winner within 24 hours, is a promo code voucher giving the holder a 30% discount in our store within 6 months.
In order for all participating charities to benefit as much as possible from the event, during #BigBlueCuddleHour we try to raise awareness about their work by retweeting their tweets, tweeting links to their website, etc.
Our hope is that #BigBlueCuddleHour will:
- provide an interesting discussion
- benefit all participating charities, by making some noise about their cause on Twitter and helping them gain new followers
- allow people to discover new causes and new charities they might not have heard about
- allow Big Blue Cuddle to find out about new charities while letting people know about what we do
- be fun for everybody participating

Some useful tips
If the topic we'll cover is relevant to your charity or if you wish to participate, start alerting your followers a few hours or even a day before the start. Remember to include the tag #BigBlueCuddleHour
Mention well connected people asking them to RT your tweet, especially if you think they'll be interested in the discussion.
