Our deserving charities

We have researched and selected a number of charities who we felt were spending their funds wisely to maximise their impact and really improve the lives of disadvantaged children.

We are proud to support these organisations and help spread the word about their wonderful work:

To give to our charities all you have to do is shop. At check out you'll be asked to indicate which charity you would like to receive the donation. The amount is calculated based on how much you spend:

  • 15% if you spend less than £75
  • 25% if you spend between £75 and £150
  • 50% if you spend more than £150

So if for example you select £100 worth of clothes, you pay Big Blue Cuddle £100 and we'll donate £25 to the charity of your choice.

We don't pass your details to the charities, so if you want to make any additional donation or hear more about their work, please contact them directly.

There are so many great causes out there that we decided to change or add new charities regularly, so please let us know if you have suggestions for worthy causes and well organised projects you feel strongly about, by writing to info@bigbluecuddle.com

Founded in 2004 Access Sport is a dynamic UK charity whose mission is to give more children, particularly in disadvantaged areas, access to a wide range of quality local sport.

We look to harness the proven power of sport to tackle social exclusion, inactivity and obesity in areas where help is most needed.  We achieve this through empowering the inspirational community volunteers who set up and run local sports clubs with cash, expert advice and networking to help create thriving clubs which get more people positively engaged.

Olympic medalist Greg Searle said 'The fire is burning and we need to fan the flame with charities like Access Sport, which does exactly what it says, giving kids access to sport'

Ambitious about Autism is the national charity for children and young people with autism.

The charity provides services, raises awareness and understanding, and campaigns to make the ordinary possible for children and young people with autism. We exist to enable children and young people with autism to learn, thrive and achieve and through TreeHouse School we provide specialist education.

Autism is a lifelong neurological condition that affects a person’s communication, social understanding and imagination and the condition now affects one in 100 children and young people in the UK.

Ambitious about Autism is delighted to be partnering with The Big Blue Cuddle and all of the money raised will help us to fund our ambitious plans so thank you in advance for your support.

First Touch supports sick and premature babies at the neonatal unit at St George's Hospital in London.
We raise funds to purchase essential medical equipment, for specialist nurse training and for a family welfare scheme for parents of babies staying many months on the unit.

The neonatal unit takes 600 babies each year. We care for babies from south London, with direct referals from Kingston, St Helier, Epsom and Mayday hospitals who send us their sickest and tiniest babies. We are the surgical centre for the south east of England, and have specialist surgeons available to operate on these precious little people. Occasionally we have taken babies from as far away as Glasgow or the south west.

We fund a wide variety of items, from life-saving ventilators and incubators, to meal vouchers for parents staying in the parents' rooms whilst their baby has surgery or just prior to taking their baby home, and from a groundbreaking simulation training programme for neonatal staff, to Christmas stockings for the babies at the neonatal unit on Christmas Day.

We are a small charity with a massive cause - tiny patients! Your donation is hugely appreciated, and will help to give each of our babies the best possible chance.

'Thanks to St George's and the equipment bought by First Touch, my healthy and happy daughter Lottie just celebrated her 7th birthday. She was born at 25 weeks' gestation, which is 4 months prematurely. Please support First Touch to help other vulnerable babies.' N Eastwood, Hampshire.
